THURSTON COUNTY SHERIFF JEEP PATROL

About Us

History

Our Mission

The Thurston County Sheriff's Jeep Patrol, a well-trained, all-volunteer non-profit organization, is committed to saving lives and property by providing four-wheel drive support to Emergency Management Services for search and rescue and natural and man-made disasters in Thurston and adjacent counties.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Jeep Patrol was organized in 1973 as an auxiliary unit of the Sheriff’s Department. It is to provide a trained all-volunteer 4-wheel drive unit in support of the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office during emergencies.

Our mission includes Search and Rescue (SAR) and assisting County Emergency Services in the event of flooding, wind and snowstorms and earthquakes. During inclement weather we provide free transportation for medical personnel and patients.
